The Rape Crisis Funding Crisis

Updates from the Law Commission's review of how evidence is used in trials involving sexual offences (ongoing)
The Law Commission is an independent body that works to make laws "as fair, modern, simple and as cost-effective as possible". The government asked the Commission to carry out this review following its own Rape Review.

This review by the Centre of expertise on child sexual abuse (CSA Centre) and Barnardo's SEEN initiative is the first of its kind. It explores the nature of sexual abuse, its impacts, the barriers that prevent children talking about it, and how concerns about it are identified and responded to, both within communities and by services.

In this landmark research, the Centre of expertise on child sexual abuse (CSA Centre) finds that there are just 468 services providing support to victims and survivors of child sexual abuse and their families.

This report by Internet Watch Foundation reveals the presence of over 20,000 AI-generated images on a dark web forum over the course of a month, with more than 3,000 depicting child sexual abuse.
