The Rape Review: two years on, what's changed?

In 2021, the government published the findings of its so-called "end-to-end" review of the way in which rape cases are handled by the criminal justice system.

Since then, some progress has been made. But, on the second anniversary of the report's release, it is clear that far too many victims and survivors are still being failed.

Do the government's promises go far enough?

The Home Office has now responded to the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse's final report – and made many important commitments.

However, Rape Crisis England & Wales remains concerned that there is a long way to go in addressing the existing problems in social care, health services and the criminal justice system.
