Types of sexual violence

'Sexual violence' is a term we use to describe any sexual activity that happened without consent. This includes rape, sexual assault, sexual abuse and sexual harassment (to name just a few).

So, just because something isn't mentioned on this page doesn't mean it's not sexual violence.

Feeling unsure? If there's no consent then it's always sexual violence.

Examples of other types of sexual violence:

Sexual exploitation, trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation, stalking and voyeurism.
