RCEW welcomes new CEO

Rape Crisis England & Wales (RCEW) is pleased to announce that it has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Jayne Butler started in post on 19 April 2021 and joins the Rape Crisis movement from Law Centres Network.

Jayne says:

“I am really excited to be joining RCEW. I have been aware of the critical work that Rape Crisis Centres do for a long time and I am proud to be joining this movement.

I have worked in the voluntary sector for 15 years, managing, developing and funding frontline services as CEO / manager / consultant in various organisations, doing work around asylum, poverty, mental health, domestic abuse and other social justice and human rights issues.

For the last 4 years, most of my time has been supporting Law Centres as Head of Development at Law Centres Network, where my role has focused on supporting CEOs of local centres through times of crisis and change - tackling sustainability, access issues and development of new services.

I am really looking forward to transferring these skills and experience to another important social justice cause, promoting the needs and rights of sexual violence and abuse survivors and the specialist services that work with them.”
