Fundraising tips
How to let people know what you're doing
To maximise your fundraising efforts and raise as many donations as possible, you need to let people know about your event or activity.
You can set up your own page on JustGiving and choose Rape Crisis England & Wales as your charity. Send the link to your your friends, family and colleagues. You can also share it on social media.
If you contact us through Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or at fundraising@rapecrisis.org.uk with the link, we'll happily help you publicise it too. Don't forget to follow us on social media and tag us in any tweets or posts you'd like us to share!
Other ways to support us financially
There are ways to fundraise for us outside of taking on a challenge or hosting an event.
Perhaps you could nominate Rape Crisis England & Wales as your workplace’s Charity of the Year? Or explore if they would consider payroll giving?
Want to donate to your local Rape Crisis centre?
Please search for your nearest centre and contact them directly using the phone number/email for general enquiries.
Still got questions?
Send them over to fundraising@rapecrisis.org.uk and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
Alison, who ran the Great Scottish Run Half Marathon in 2022 for Rape Crisis England & WalesOne of the best moments was when we crossed the finishing line and the commentator called out our names and the name of the charity over the loudspeakers and commented on what a worthy cause it was to run for. That made all the pain fade away – well, almost. It took a couple of paracetamol and a day's rest as well!
