1:1 counselling, for women and girls 13 years upwards.

Group workshops, for women and girls 13 years upwards.

Advocacy: Emotional and practical support. For women and girls 14 years upwards.

Education: Awareness-raising and training for community and professionals.

Information & Referral Line: Emotional and practical support, signposting and onward referral into appropriate support services. For women and girls/ boys and men: 14 years upwards.

We encourage self-referrals but can also take referrals from professionals (client's name & safe telephone number only), providing that the client has given consent and knows to expect a call from us.

We offer bespoke training to agencies and organisations on all aspects of gender violence.

North London Rape Crisis offers free, confidential counselling, advocacy and helpline support to women aged 13 and over who live, work or study in Islington, Camden, Westminster, Barnet, Enfield, Kensington, Chelsea and Haringey.

North London Rape Crisis is one of the specialist services provided by Solace Women's Aid, an organisation with years of experience and commitment in working with violence against women.

Services include:

  • One-to-one specialist counselling
  • A range of therapeutic groups
  • Advocacy - specialist support with reporting to the police and support through the criminal justice system
  • Pre-trial therapy
  • Helpline emotional support

Established since 1985, we are a fully independent organisation based in Croydon providing a high standard of professional support to female survivors of sexual violence living anywhere South of the river Thames, in addition to providing national support to women living anywhere in England and Wales through the National Rape Crisis Helpline. The helpline offers confidential, safe, specialist support. The number will not show up on bills.

Our services include:

  • Face to face therapy of up to 12 months with qualified, sexual violence specialist therapists.
  • Group therapy, Self Esteem Workshops, Group for parents, partners & friends of survivors.
  • National Rape Crisis Helpline open every day of the year.
  • Independent Sexual Violence Advocates (ISVA's) for survivor's going through or thinking about going through the Criminal Justice System in any South London borough.
  • Information & Guidance to professionals, survivors, partners, friends & family of survivors.
  • Prevention work in schools on sexual consent, self-esteem, gender and sexualisation.
  • Training to professionals working with survivors including social workers, GP's, counsellors.
  • Outreach Service for women in prostitution based in Wandsworth.
  • Feminist self-defence, working in partnership with the London Centre for Personal Safety.
  • Independent Domestic Violence Advocates based at the Family Justice Centre in Croydon.

The West London Rape Crisis Centre (WLRCC) is one of the specialist services of the Women and Girls Network (WGN), which provides holistic therapeutic services to women who have experienced gendered violence.

WLRCC Services include:

  • A telephone helpline which offers survivors emotional support and practical advice.
  • Individual counselling from between 15 weeks up to one year.
  • Group work on specific themes, plus an ‘ending group’ for women ending individual therapy.
  • Body therapies offering survivors the opportunity to reconnect with their body in a positive way.
  • An Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) service to provide advocacy and support to survivors of sexual violence, including specialist support through the criminal justice system. Email [email protected]

The Women and Girls Network also offer a young women’s advocacy service for young women and girls who have experienced sexual violence, abuse and exploitation.
