Stand Up For Women supports Rape Crisis

2 Jul 2013

On Sunday 7th July 2013, a cast of award-winning TV comedians (Andi Osho, Lucy Porter, Josie Long) will be joined by...a cast of award-winning TV comedians (Joe Bor, Joe Wells, Miss London), comedy sketch artists (Nadia Kamil and John-Luke Robets of The Behemoth), comedy duets (Lara Stubbs and Rob Castell of the multi-award winning  Barbershopera) and a Comic Magician (Ada Campe), not to mention a 1970s-style protest complete with flares and funk, at the West End Garrick Theatre to raise fund and awareness for women’s organisations, including Rape Crisis (England and Wales).

Prior to the show, a few lucky delux ticket holders can even hob nob with some of Stand Up For Women’s VIP supporters –
including Baronesses, MPs and ethical business leaders - at a champagne reception.

And this is just the first event of many. Stand Up For Women aims to be the next Comic Relief – televised and massively
raising funds and awareness for the charities who help the 10 million women who experience violence in the UK.
