Last Chance to Apply for Jobs with Rape Crisis England & Wales

24 Oct 2014

Rape Crisis England & Wales promotes the needs of women and girls who have experienced sexual violence, to improve services to them and to work towards the elimination of sexual violence. Working through our autonomous Rape Crisis organisations we provide support, advocacy, counselling and information to those affected by sexual violence, as well as raising awareness and understanding in the wider community and with local, regional and national government.

Funded by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills as an Employer Leadership Pilot, our Workforce Development (WFD) Project will further develop the networks, skills, expertise and services provided by RCCs through a national programme of training and quality initiatives. As part of this exciting development we are looking to receive applications from females* for the following newly created roles:

Project Co-ordinator - WFD (Flexible location – Midlands/North East preferred)
£29,000 - £32,000 p.a. (subject to experience)
Full time 37 hours per week
You’ll support the WFD Project Manager to ensure that there is a comprehensive workflow process for the Programme, allocating tasks and resources and co-ordinating activities, to achieve programme outputs and deliverables. You’ll need to have excellent communication and organisational skills, with previous experience of successful delivery of projects and use of project management tools.

Area Membership Co-ordinators (North/Midlands/East/London/South)
£25,500 - £28,500 p.a. pro rata (subject to experience)
Full time 37 hours per week per area
You’ll help the National Membership Co-ordinator to develop collaborative working within regions, to maintain and increase the support for and sustainability of member Rape Crisis organisations, ensuring engagement in WFD and RCEW initiatives. A good networker, with excellent knowledge of the sector and geographic area, you will support and promote the development of new ideas, ways of working and opportunities to identify and share cost savings and generate income.

Area Training Co-ordinators (North/Midlands/East/London/South)
£23,500 - £26,500 p.a. pro rata (subject to experience)
Part-time, minimum 24 hours per week per area
You’ll work at the direction of the National Training Co-ordinator, taking responsibility for the management and development of an area of work in the RCEW Training Programme; co-ordinating and supporting the training team working within that area. You’ll need to have relevant and recent experience of work in the adult education sector, community outreach work, or a relevant field of professional practice, as well as experience of developing, delivering and organising training courses.

All the above posts are 2-year fixed term appointments with renegotiation and possible renewal thereafter. Post holders will be based in a Rape Crisis Centre, with a requirement to travel extensively and be confident in the use of communication technology to network and maintain contact virtually with colleagues.

* Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR), Schedule 9 (Work; Exceptions), Part 1 (Occupational Requirements), of the Equality Act (2010) applies.
