Channel 4 News reported that the Rape review, which was due to be published on 5th August was to look at the treatment of rape victims in the criminal justice system has been delayed.
The Times reports that Labour's deputy leader Harriet Harman, who is currently standing in for the prime minister while Gordon Brown is on holiday, vetoed the review because it did not go far enough to address the concerns of women.
Jo Wood from Rape Crisis England & Wales was interviewed on Chanel 4 news today and was asked questions both on the funding announcements by the Government and the lack of announcements regarding the Rape Review.
"We need to keep rape and sexual abuse, sexual violence of any type right in the forefront," she said.
