NUS Women's #StandByMe Campaign

25 Nov 2015

On 25th November 2015, the National Union of Students (NUS) Women's Campaign, launched #StandByMe, calling for greater support for student survivors of rape, sexual assault and other sexual violence on campus.

#StandByMe also calls for proper, sustainable resourcing for vital specialist Rape Crisis services, which support student survivors as well as the wider community.

Rape Crisis England & Wales is extremely grateful for this show of solidarity from and opportunity to work in partnership with the NUS and welcomes this important campaign. Find more information here.

November 25th 2015 marked the international day for the elimination of violence against women and the start of the ‘16 Days of Activism’ against gendered violence. So at NUS we wanted to use this period to address a national crisis of sexual assault on campus.
