• Counselling for any female survivor or supporter (eg partner or carer) aged 18+.
• Helpline can support men in crisis or offer information on other counselling services.
• Children & Young people; females & males aged 5-18.
• Crisis & advocacy; Female and males aged 11 years and over.

Male ISVA clients are seen on a Wednesday. There is a women only space on our 1st floor office where the counselling takes place.

SERVICES

Free BACP accredited counselling service for anyone who has experienced or who is affected by any form of sexual violence whether recently or in the past. Counselling is one to one and there is a female only space for those who require it.

Free Independent Sexual Violence Adviser (ISVA) service to address practical needs for clients and their families where appropriate. The ISVA service covers the county for children and North Staffordshire for adults.

A confidence building programme for women is available.

Group support sessions are available for men, women and young people.

We provide the Out of Hours Crisis Workers for Grange Park, Staffordshire SARC.

Bespoke CPD accredited training and awareness packages are available to schools, prisons, businesses, voluntary and statutory agencies. Please get in touch for details

SERVICES

WMRSASC is a free, confidential and non-judgemental support service for survivors based in Worcestershire and Herefordshire who have experienced any form of rape or sexual abuse at any time in their lives. All services are available to individuals aged 11+.

Services include face to face counselling, telephone helpline open Mon & Thurs 7.30pm – 9.30pm, Tues 1pm – 5pm, Fri 10am – 2pm, Independent Sexual Violence Advisory Service offering emotional and practical support to individuals who have reported to the police or are considering this.

OTHER INFORMATION

WMRSASC works in partnership with other professionals, groups and agencies to raise awareness and challenge issues around rape and sexual abuse and their effects on individuals and society. WMRSASC can provide bespoke certified training courses in the specialist areas of rape and sexual abuse for statutory and third sector agencies.

All WMRSASC volunteers must complete an OCN accredited training programme in supporting rape and sexual abuse survivors. WMRSASC is also able to provide supervision for external agency workers.

The centre is appointment only, and offers both a female only space and a mixed gender space.
