SERVICES

CRCC provides support services to survivors who have experienced rape, sexual abuse or any form of sexual violence, whether it is historical, recent or current.

We have a telephone helpline service for women and girls open 4 times a week on Wednesday 7pm - 9.30pm, Thursday 7pm - 9:30pm, Saturday 3pm - 5.30pm and Sunday 10am - 12.30pm.

We offer an email support service for women and girls and will respond to emails within 2-7 days. All our email volunteers are women and all are trained in supporting survivors of rape and childhood sexual abuse. The email address for this is: support@cambridgerapecrisis.org.uk

We have free face-to-face counselling for women and teenage girls who have experienced rape, child sexual abuse or any other form of sexual abuse or violence and who live in Cambridgeshire. Our counselling is available in Cambridge, Huntingdon and Ely.

We offer practical information and advocacy support for men and women who are survivors of sexual violence through our Independent Sexual Violence Advocacy (ISVA) service. The adult ISVA service works with people aged 19 and over. Our Children and Young People’s ISVA (ChISVA) supports survivors aged 18 and under.

Our Children and Young Peoples Counselling Service provides counselling for boys and girls aged 5 – 18yrs.

OTHER INFORMATION

We provide workshops and training on sexual violence for professionals, schools and other agencies and organisations.

We offer peer support group work projects for female survivors.

SERVICES

CARA provides independent, specialist support to victims and survivors of any kind of sexual violence.

CARA works with adult women and men, young people (aged 13-19) and children aged 12 and under from across mid and north Essex.

The services we provide include:
-Specialist counselling for adults.
-Specialist counselling and support for young people.
-Play therapy for children of 12 and under and support for their families.
-ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Adviser) support through the criminal justice process.
-Advocacy services including advice and support around benefits, housing issues and health appointments.
-A women-only social group with creative and holistic activities.

We provide our services from our head office in Colchester and from outreach premises in Braintree, Chelmsford, Clacton-on-Sea and Great Dunmow.
(please note: at present, we are only able to deliver our play therapy services for children aged 12 and under from our Colchester premises).

Services for women can be provided in a women-only environment on request.

SERVICES

Synergy Essex is a partnership of three Rape Crisis Centres comprising of South Essex Rape & Incest Crisis Centre (SERICC), Southend Rape Crisis Centre (SOSRC) and mid and north Essex Centre for Action on Rape and Abuse (CARA).

Synergy Essex provides information and support for anyone who has been sexually abused or raped or who has been affected by sexual violence at any time in their lives.

We offer an Essex-wide service providing specialist emotional support, counselling, advocacy and other services to support adults, children, young people, their families and supporters.

All our staff and volunteers are trained to provide specialist support. We offer services from accessible sites across Essex.

The Rape Crisis Centres that make up the Partnership provide women only spaces. Our outreach centres cater for male and female clients.

HARCSAC is run as a co-operative by a group of 11 women volunteers who have undergone specialist training in rape and sexual abuse counselling and two paid part-time administrators.

We offer free counselling support to any woman over 18 living in Hertfordshire who has experienced rape, sexual assault, or any form of sexual abuse at any time in her life.
